Lovecraft Country is coming to an end!
The adventurous series Lovecraft Country season finale is coming up soon. The final episode will be available to watch this Sunday, only 5 more days away on October 18th.
Lovecraft Country is full of adventure and thrills. The show is filled with magic, but also has serious topics such as the segregation in the 1950s in America.
Because of the worldwide pandemic, HBO decided to celebrate, but in a safe way. They are going to air a unique virtual reality experience called Lovecraft Country: Sanctum, with the very talented musical artist Janelle Monae. This will be the artist first time doing something like this, apart from the Music of the Cosmos Concert.
Monae expresses her excitement to be a part of the experience and how she’s thankful for the sensational opportunity.
“I’m so excited to partner with HBO and The Mill to pioneer the future of concert experiences in Sanctum,” Janelle states. “I always strive for innovation, and this project gives me the special opportunity to celebrate Lovecraft Country, a show I’m a huge fan of, and connect with fans in a completely new way using virtual reality. This is the perfect platform to explore the impact of music and movement in a new dimension designed to celebrate Black art, stories, and voices,” the artist continues.
The celebration will be streamed live on YouTube and VR chat. The viewers will also be able to get a fun joyful experience, with Michael Kenneth Williams in a mystery room, called “The Reliquary.” This is a great way for viewers to be entertained while at home being safe.
“As long-standing fans, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with Janelle Monáe on this uniquely immersive virtual reality concert experience,” said the VP of Program Marketing at HBO, Dana Flax. “Through her art and her activism, Janelle embodies the spirit of innovation, justice, and Black joy that makes her the perfect artist to help us send off Lovecraft Country’s first season,” Flax says.
