2020 Endorsement Deals/Partnerships

This has been quite the year for the hip-hop industry and the many accomplishments during the obstacles of quarantine and COVID-19. Artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott, Cardi B, and more received some of the best endorsement deals and partnerships of 2020.

Megan Thee Stallion becomes the new face of Revlon

Megan has accomplished so much over this year, and one of her many achievements includes her partnership with Revlon as their most recent brand ambassador. Meg stated she “always wanted this as a kid”.

“I’ve loved Revlon products since I was a kid, and the company has a history that’s really close to my heart. To have the opportunity to be that role model and to champion real diversity is something that’s really special to me. The whole concept of this campaign fits so well with the Hot Girl lifestyle; having fun, being confident, living your truth, and, most important, living boldly,” Meg stated.

She also says “I’ve always set the bar high for myself with everything I do, but to now be a brand ambassador for Revlon, it feels like a new level. To me, the Revlon brand stands for both beauty and female strength and I’m excited to help define what that means to a new generation of women.”

Travis Scott partners with McDonalds

It was September 8th when fans started going ballistic over the Travis Scott Meal at McDonald’s. The meal included a Quarter Pounder that had cheese, lettuce, and bacon, with a medium fry, Sprite, and the perfect side of barbeque sauce.

Not only was it about the meal, but the merch sold out like crazy. The line included hoodies, sweatshirts, keychains, carpets, and much more.

Cardi B and Balenciaga

Cardi’s winter campaign was announced last month (September) for Balenciaga. The high fashion brand unveiled its new campaign with the “WAP” rapper taking over the Louvre in Paris. What’s really impressive about the campaign, is that the photos were self-shot in Los Angeles during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Bronx native ecstatically shared the news on her Instagram. “Ya looking at the face of a Balenciaga campaign!” she wrote. “I remember how I felt seeing myself on a billboard in NYC Times Square but Paris! Wish I was there to see it in person!”

Other Great Endorsement Deals

Some other amazing endorsement deals of 2020 include J. Cole and his partnership with Puma in early February. Lil Yachty teamed up with the fast-food chain Burger King to create a fun interactive virtual reality game.
